Paonta Sahib is an industrial town of Himachal Pradesh in India. It is located in the south of Sirmaur district, on National Highway 72. Paonta Sahib is an important place of worship for Sikhs, hosting a large Gurdwara named Gurudwara Paonta Sahib, on the banks of the river Yamuna.

Surkanda Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand, India. It is dedicated to Goddess Surkanda Devi, who is considered to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga and is worshipped as a protective deity by the locals. The temple is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,750 meters (9,022 feet) on top of a hill called Surkanda Peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges and the valleys below.
It also serves as the worlds largest hydro electrical project drawing water from two great rivers of the Himalayas Bhagirathi and Bhilangana. The place is a must visit offering a sight of massive dam with stagnant water and high mountains on all side and can be reached via well maintained roads.
